Welcome to Highland Glass


Mark Hinton commenced business, as a glazier, in December, 1981. The business was originally known as Bowral Windscreen and Glazing Service. He did all building glass and auto glass supply and installation. Over the years the business expanded. More glaziers were employed and we moved into original Kirkham Road site. We covered all of the Southern Highlands. We became a company and our trading name became Highland Glass. In April 1991 we opened a branch in Goulburn. Highland Glass continued to grow. In 1998 we moved into the purpose built, current, Willow Road, property. When we first moved we marveled at the extra room - room for expansion!!!!! Well, this happened and we’ve extended about as much as the local council will allow. We extended the original building to allow for a glass toughening furnace and numerous processing machines, purchased and installed in September 2003. In October, 2003 we reached certification of quality assurance for our toughened glass product. In December, 2005 we extended our building again, for an undercover truck loading bay, allowing us to load the trucks in all weather conditions. In October 2005 we moved the existing Goulburn shop, to a new commercial warehouse factory in Goulburn. This large factory allowed room for stores of bulk glass and a retail outlet for the Goulburn area. The onsite glazing and aluminium divisions of Highland Glass in Bowral were sold. Which allowed us to concentrate on specializing in the processing of toughened glass. In February 2008 we extended the bulk store in Goulburn again to accommodate the increased demand for bulk and Specialty glass. Highland Glass is a family business, and all of Mark’s family are involved in different aspects of the business. We have all gained experience in all aspects of glass over the last 25 years. We have dedicated,experienced and friendly staff. Over the last six years, with our quality toughening furnace, state of the art processing equipment such as CNC machines, water jet cutting, polishing and beveling, we have supplied many customers with quality products to their requirements. We are striving all the time to improve our service, quality and price. We work to the principal of :- “Getting it Right, First Time, Every Time””
